These two weeks focused on Chapter 3 of TBTE (Take Back the Economy), “Take Back Business: Distributing Surplus”. The overall aim was to introduce students to the idea of surplus, to identify different ways that surplus can be “owned” and therefore who decides what to do with surplus; and the different ways that surplus can be distributed (including to directly benefit people and the planet). We covered most of this in Week 5 and in Week 6 we watched the film, The Take, (and discussed their case studies).
